On August 21, 2024, Cyberport and the Qianhai Shenzhen Hong Kong Modern Service Industry Cooperation Zone Management Bureau ("Qianhai Management Bureau") signed another memorandum of cooperation. The two sides will provide comprehensive support for innovative enterprises in both places through joint efforts and integration of advantageous resources on the basis of existing cooperation, and jointly promote technological innovation cooperation between Hong Kong, Qianhai Shenzhen Hong Kong Cooperation Zone, Shenzhen, and even the Greater Bay Area. Cyberport and Qianhai Authority signed their first cooperation agreement in 2021. Building on their solid foundation of cooperation over the past three years, they have once again signed a deepening cooperation agreement, marking a deeper development of the Shenzhen Hong Kong technology ecosystem and providing more entrepreneurial and employment opportunities for young people in both regions. The memorandum of cooperation was signed by Dr. Zheng Songyan, CEO of Cyberport, and Liu Guilin, Deputy Director of Qianhai Management Bureau, and witnessed by Cyberport Chairman Chen Ximing, Executive Deputy Director of Qianhai Management Bureau Huang Xiaopeng, and others. According to the memorandum of cooperation, both parties will leverage their respective strengths to jointly promote collaboration and development in innovative industries such as artificial intelligence, financial technology, and elderly technology. Cyberport and Qianhai Management Bureau will strengthen overseas joint promotion, expand investment cooperation channels, and support cooperation and project recognition in policy collaboration and innovation. Cyberport and Qianhai Shenzhen Hong Kong Youth Dream Factory will set up exhibition halls and workspaces for each other, extending park operations, preferential policies, and corporate services to both parks. At the same time, both parties will jointly explore the establishment of a cooperation platform in Hong Kong to provide comprehensive services covering international legal, accounting, risk management, financing, marketing, supply chain, etc. for mainland enterprises to expand their overseas markets.
